This is one of the conclusions of the most recent study by the Observatrio da Sociedade Portuguesa, from the Catholic University in Lisbon, which addressed, among other topics, the levels of happiness and satisfaction of the Portuguese.

Almost two years of living in the midst of a pandemic, of the thousand respondents between November 29 and December 9, the vast majority said they felt happy or very happy (80%) and also satisfied or very satisfied (79.1%) with life.

Compared to the beginning of the pandemic, in March 2020, the percentage of happy people increased by nine percentage points.

As for satisfaction with their life, the difference is equally significant, with the rate of dissatisfied respondents decreasing from 15.9% to 8.1%.

There is a clear recovery, given the first impact of the pandemic, and there is even an overcoming of pre-pandemic values, underlines the report.
